Almost nothing is known about Eight Mile Rock, except that there are records that some motor vehicles were registered on this Out Islands in the 1960's and 1970's, and that either an 8M prefix, or an EM prefix was used on the usual white on green stencilled/hand painted OUT ISLANDS issue. To date, I've never seen one of these plates.
