BAHAMAS PASSENGER LICENSE PLATES
Last update - August 25, 2005
1983 Series - green on white - Bahamas-made, some with large dies, some small-dies. 1983 was one of the more "entertaining" issues amongst the islands of the Bahamas - some islands issued flat plates, and the others had a wide-variety of die styles, with "green" number colors running from almost BLUE, through light green, chartreuse, kelly green, pine green... this is also the only year that a plate from CHUB CAY and FREEPORT were issued, although it's suspected that the Freeport issues may have been a special issue for Government vehicles.

CHUB CAY plates were only issued in 1983, and only a pair of number
14 passenger plates are known to exist.
FREEPORT plates were also only issued in 1983 - examples are known
for various single digit numbers, as well as a number 10 plate.
