GRAPHICS USED:  Plates used from 1974 through 1985 had an image of the capitol dome on the plate. Plates from 1986 on had a stylized "stars and bars" represenation of the D.C. flag in the center of the plate.

PORCELAINS ISSUED: 1907 through 1917, in a few series of white on black undated plates, with the legend DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA over a simple serial number.
