Non-passenger types are as follows:

A prefix - Presidential office, mayoral, and National Assembly

B prefix - Administration, Police, Municipal vehicles

C prefix - Autonomous Government, Airports, ports, railway vehicles.

D prefix - Private cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Taxis have standard D series plates, with a "TAXI" sticker attached to the plate.

Diplomatic vehicles have silver on green plates, with an Embassy code number, CC, CD or CMD, and a serial number.

Honorary Conuslate Members have standard D series plates, with the CC prefix.

Temporarily imported vehicles have red plates with silver characters, simple serial followed by TT.

V.I.P. vehicles have low numbered white on black plates, with the word PROTOCOLE, both in Arabic and English.

Car Dealers and Garages use silver on black plates with a number followed by WW.
