WORLD LOCATION: Located in the gulf on the western coast of Africa.

FIRST LICENSE PLATES IN USE: 1959

MOTOR VEHICLES REGISTERED:  Probably around 500.

PLATES WERE Owner provided - generally similar in design to the ones used in Equatorial Guinea - basically Spanish in design, but many were primitive hand painted plates, almost always white with black painted characters. All had the letters FP and a serial number.
