FORMER SLOGANS: "Sunshine State" (1949-1950), "Keep Florida Green" (1951), "Sunshine State" (1952-1964), "400TH ANNIVERSARY" (1965), "Sunshine State" (1966-1976).

GRAPHICS USED: Starting around 1979, an orange state map was added to the background. This later became a green map, with orange numbers. Sometime in 1997, the current graphic with the large orange and state map came into use.

PORCELAINS ISSUED: Porcelain plates were used from the early teens through the late teens, in many varieties and colors, but these were all county issue "pre-state" issue plates. There were no state issued porcelains in use in Florida.
