STATUS: From 1955 through 1960, the district of Happy Valley, an isolated region in Labrador, issued their own special plates, predating the use of Newfoundland plates in Labrador. From 1960 on, standard Newfoundland plates were used.

PLATES INFO: Local improvement plates were issued to improve roads in the Happy Valley area of Labrador; started in 1954; discontinued in 1960 when province assumed road improvement.
