PLATES ARE: Owner provided, but of a similar style, usually Portuguese in design. Plates are white on black, with a prefix letter M. Later issues moved onto the prefix series MA, MB, MC, MD and ME. All series are followed by two sets of two serial numbers, divided by hyphens.
