GRAPHICS USED: Starting in 1988, a red lobster image was added to the background. Currently, a chickadee perched on a pine branch is depicted on the left side of the plate, with the outline of a stand of pines running along the bottom border.

PORCELAINS ISSUED: Porcelain plates were used from 1905 through 1915. The first three issues were undated multi-year plates. Colors were as follows:

1905-1911 - white on red, with MAINE across the bottom.

1912 - blue on yellow, with MAINE across the bottom.

1913 - yellow on blue, with MAINE across the bottom.

1914 - white on blue long size, with MAINE over 1914 on the right end.

1915 - dark blue on white long size, with MAINE over 1915 on the right end.
