8117 -  IRAN - Mid-1930's/early 1940's vintage issue - this is the "first issue" layout, which was used in Iran, and also in Persia, before the name change. In the 1940's, the stacked code number series came into use.  This is a heavy embossed steel issue, primitive, with rounded edges - background is original hand brused, numbers are original roller-painted, all paint on this plate is OLD original, and it looks like this plate went through a few different vehicles over the years.  This came from an older gentleman who was in Iran in the 1950's, and worked for an International Organization, so the code is most likely a diplomatic series prefix, or IO code - low number, all original, and rare.  The original plate number said his plate was already in use for years when he received it for his own car - the plate was already aging in the 1940's-50's when the diplomat mounted it.  Apparently these plates were scarce even then. (TRADE for rare motorcycles/Bahamas/what-have-you)

14086 - IRAQ - 1980's vintage ARMY - probably the best condition example I've seen, and this one has three zeroes in the number (200055) - very nice - $110.00

13646 - IRAQ - Desert Storm era plate  - Iraqi Army, but this is the alternate issue.  People have speculated that there is only one dark khaki green issue, but I've seen some that are definitlely more of a "sand" hue - this is one of the latter, with nice original paint as shown - it also has the rarely seen "logo on right" instead of on the left.   A nice addition to a collection of these types - $90.00

13742 - IRAQ - 2001 Bus plate - embossed,with hand painted numbers - tough type - $95.00

13743 - IRAQ - 2004 Provisional series, from Baghdad - nice original plate, brought back by US military serviceman - $85.00

13744 - IRAQ - 2000 series, unknown type, used plate, white on black all embossed - $83.00

9449 - IRAQ - 2001 Taxi plate - this plate came from a serviceman stationed overseas, this is the shorter sized plate, probably the front plate.   Nice condition, mate is shown above - $142.00

9419 - ISRAEL - 1960's-1970's vintage Israel, irp condition - very nice.  Has the strange little Hebrew character at the bottom, which I've gone over with a marker, as the original irp painted left it undone.   Nice old plate - $37.00

10724 - ISRAEL - 1970's vintage plate -   I believe the 000-000 series plates were used on commercial vehicles - original as shown, Israeli script was added by original car owner.  Not sure what it says - $32.00

DISCOUNTS:  Buy over $200 worth, and I'll take 5% off the total.  Buy over $500 worth, and I'll take 10% off the total.  As always, I won't combine discounts.  You can use a coupon, or take the percentage, but not both.  Some of my regular/high volume buyers will get a set discount, regardless of order size, but this is for a select few - the more you buy, the better chance of getting on the "blue chip" buyer list..
