WORLD LOCATION: Central Africa

FIRST LICENSE PLATES IN USE: 1940's (?)

PLATES WERE: Owner provided, but similar.  The Ubangi-Shari series were plates in the series used by French Equatorial Africa.  Plates were white on black, and consisted of a six digit number, all numbers, with a comma or other dividing marker.  Ubangi Shari plates used the prefix series from 500-609.  Plates in the 500 to 505 series were based in the capital city of Bahgui.
