STATUS: Used on American Military bases located near the border between North Korea and South Korea.
FIRST LICENSE PLATES IN USE: 1960's
PLATES ARE: One of the following known varieties:
Standard white on green South
Korean plates, but with a western prefix character, instead of a Korean
character.
Non-appropriated funds vehicles
- white on blue plate, as shown in above photo.
Temporarily imported vehicles
(into the US) have black on cream white cardboard plates, with U.S.FORCES
KOREA across the top.
The following variations are also known:
Black on white, with USFK NAF
above the serial number.
Black on red number 8-1800
above US FORCES IN KOREA.
Green on orange, with a similar
number, above US FORCES KOREA.
