STATUS: Former issue for US personnel vehicles, no longer used.

FIRST LICENSE PLATES IN USE: 1960's

GRAPHICS USED:  Later issues adopted the crescent and star logo, which did not appear on the plates until the late 1960's. The most current series again dropped the star and crescent. The latest issues were white on black, with one letter, a hyphen, and four numerals. US FORCES across the top, and TURKEY across the bottom. Earlier issues alternated between black on white, and white on black. The white on red plate shown in the header is unusual, and the significance of the color is unknown.
